*The norcim pages cover early radio control systems using selective 'narrow band' radio frequencies which allowed several models to be used together at the same location. The pages cover the circuitry of these historic systems in great detail.
The massive leap in technology of Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) model control units has effectively closed down the manufacture of 'narrow band' model control systems world wide.
The end of an ERA in model radio control.
The new FHSS model radio control units can offer increased range (8 KM ish) along with better interference rejection making particularly, model aircraft and camera drones more safe to use. Over 100 units could (technically) be flown at the same location. Satellite navigation (GPS) is often built in to these new R/C systems which corrects wind effects on the model and provides an auto 'return to home' button on the controller providing increased safety.
